Dr. Nicolas Moser is a co‑founder and CTO of ProtonDx, developing point-of-care molecular tests whose core technology builds on several years of innovative research in diagnostics, fuelled by unique collaboration between engineering, medicine and molecular biology. At the end of his PhD, he was awarded the EPSRC postdoctoral fellowship to pursue point‑of‑care devices towards rapid diagnosis of infectious diseases. He has pursued several entrepreneurial programmes including MedTech SuperConnector, participating on the programme’s Cohort Four. PDx’s Dragonfly, a portable diagnostic platform, has been relied on at numerous professional sporting events in order to test athletes for SARS-CoV-2 amongst other respiratory viruses. They have also recently announced the launch of the company’s second product, SmartLid, a Viral DNA/RNA Extraction Kit for research purposes.
